How to play the Solo Leveling: ARISE early access April update

It's not available to everyone.

This free-to-play action RPG is based on the anime of the same name (which itself is an adaptation of a South Korean web novel), and is scheduled to release on PC, iOS, and Android on May 8. Perfect for fans of the show who otherwise have to wait for season 2 of the Solo Leveling anime, with season 1 having ended this past March. If you can’t wait till then, here’s a quick rundown of how you can try out Solo Leveling: ARISE‘s early access version and its new April update.

How do you access the Solo Leveling: ARISE early access?

The first thing you need to know about the Solo Leveling: ARISE early access build is that it’s seen a limited release. At the time of writing, it’s only available to players in Canada. So, if you’re in Canada reading this, you can skip to the next paragraph. For everybody else, it is possible to access the build by using a VPN and connecting to any servers in Canada. If you already have a VPN, that’s great. If not, maybe decide whether or not you think it’s worth putting the money down for a VPN before committing to anything.

As for actually accessing the game, you’ll want to head over to the official Solo Leveling: ARISE website. There, you’ll see an option to set up a PC install. Click that, and you’ll be taken to another page where you can download and install developer Netmarble’s own launcher. Doing so should be simple enough but, again, if you’re outside of Canada, make sure your VPN is connected to a server in Canada before opening the launcher and downloading the game.

The newest Solo Leveling: ARISE update went live on April 17, so you should receive some additional items you can spend in-game upon logging in. Plus, a new playable character, Silver Mane Baek Yoonho, will be available for you to unlock and add to your roster.
