FC 27 launches worldwide on Friday, September 18, but you can get a few hours of extra gameplay with a simple trick. This trick is well known among regular community members. You don’t need to pay anything, but you can get a head start on your yearly ultimate grind.
How to play FC 27 early on Xbox
The New Zealand trick is always easier to perform on Xbox consoles.
- Open the settings of your console
- Change the time on your console to AZDT. Once done, restart your console.
- When you turn on your console now, it will show New Zealand time. The console will essentially migrate (virtually) to the island nation.
- As long as you have the game in your library, wait for it to be midnight in New Zealand.
- You can then start playing FC 27 as expected.
While your console’s virtual location will be in New Zealand, you’ll still use servers that EA Sports has assigned for your actual location.
How to play FC 27 early on PlayStation
The New Zealand trick can be emulated on PlayStation consoles, but the method is significantly harder.
- First, create a New Zealand-based account.
- Next, you’ll need a payment method that works for the New Zealand region.
- Once done, you can now purchase FC 27, and it should be live once it’s past midnight in New Zealand.
Naturally, this method is a lot harder to emulate. It also doesn’t work if you’ve already purchased your copy on your main account. If you’re like me who plays on the PS5, it’s just best to wait a few hours until it’s midnight in your location.
The New Zealand trick also doesn’t work on PC since it will follow a unified launch schedule. The quickest way to play the game is to own the Ultimate Edition or opt for the EA Play/Play Pro edition.
