How to play defense in Backbreaker

Backbreaker is a football game, but it doesn’t play like most football games you might be used to. That’s why NaturalMotion is producing all these tutorial videos — to give players a heads-up so that they don’t complain when they’re doing it wrong in the game. You may have seen the tutorials for the running game and the passing game, but the most radically different gameplay in Backbreaker comes on defense.

Instead of the camera remaining behind the offense, so that you’re running “downward” when you’re on defense, Backbreaker wants to put you in the shoes of the players on the field — so on defense, you’ll be looking toward the offense. In addition, the camera comes up right behind the shoulder of the particular player whom you’re controlling. Check out the video for more details.

Backbreaker will launch on June 1st for PS3 and 360 at $49.99.
