Gardening is one of the most essential tasks to tackle throughout Star Path events in Disney Dreamlight Valley. It’s not always clear what item you need to grow, though, as is the case with the plant and harvest something spicy duties.
These two missions pop up in the Paw-fect Romance Star Path event with no other details to help guide you through them. And although there is certainly more than one spicy item in the valley, only one specific ingredient works here, so it’s much trickier than you might expect Here’s how to plant and harvest something spicy in Disney Dreamlight Valley.

Something spicy in Disney Dreamlight Valley
Something spicy refers to Chili Peppers in DDV. There are over 100 ingredients you can find around the valley, and plenty of them are also technically spicy, either because they’re a spice or because they pack some heat.
Other items you might consider for this task include Paprika, Bell Peppers, Cinnamon, Black Pepper, and other similar ingredients. For the purposes of any Paw-fect Romance Star Path mission that references spicy seeds, though, only Chili Peppers actually work.
Many of the routine duties you need to work through in this event are focused on spaghetti, as this Star Path was released alongside Lady and Tramp. Spaghetti is an iconic dish that they enjoy sharing, so gathering ingredients that can be used to cook it, like Chili Peppers, is all part of the theme.
Plant and harvest something spicy in Disney Dreamlight Valley
For the Star Path mission that asks you to plant something spicy, you must plant 15 Chili Pepper Seeds to earn 25 Tokens. For the duty that requests you harvest something spicy, you’ll need to harvest 15 Chili Peppers for another 25 Tokens. These tasks work well when tackled back to back, as the first one sets you up nicely for the second. With both missions complete, you’ll earn a fairly quick and easy 50 Tokens to spend in the event.
Chili Pepper Seeds can be purchased from Goofy’s Stall in the Sunlit Plateau biome. He always has them available to buy here, and you can spend 20 Star Coins per bag to buy as many as you like. You can then plant these seeds, water them, and wait 45 minutes for them to grow. If you plant them in the Sunlit Plateau region, they grow a bit faster, so they’ll take a bit over 40 minutes to flourish instead.
You’ll also need to get your hands on some Chili Pepper Seeds for the buy spicy seeds Star Path duty, so if you haven’t finished that one yet, it’s a great task to work on in tandem with this one. And if you need more Tokens to claim the prize you have your eye on, there are plenty of other missions to work through, like dressing up in your Mickey Mouse ears, mining for black stones, chatting with a villager named after a flower, and selling green veggies.
