How to make Raisins in Stardew Valley

It’s actually remarkably easy to make Raisins in Stardew Valley. All you need is some Grapes and a Dehydrator

To get a Dehydrator, you have two options:

  • Opt for a Mushroom Cave to be placed on your farm and make use of the Dehydrator which comes included
  • Buy the recipe from Pierre’s Shop for 10,000 Gold and use the following resources to make one:
    • 30 Wood
    • 2 Clay
    • 1 Fire Quartz

Once you’ve got a Dehydrator to use, simply place 5 Grapes inside and you’ll have Raisins after 29 in-game hours.

What do Junimos do in Stardew Valley

Once you’ve completed a few quests for the Wizard in Stardew Valley, you’ll unlock the Junimo Hut. This hut can be placed in the middle of some crops and the Junimos inside will then gather all harvestable crops within a 17×17 square, centered on the front door of the Hut itself.

While Junimos are generally pretty inefficient and slow gatherers, one benefit of them is that they aren’t blocked by crops that grow on trellises, such as Grapes or Spring Beans, meaning you can pack in a huge number of plants around the Hut without getting stuck as you try to harvest from them.

Once you’ve got some Raisins and a Junimo Hut, select the Raisins from within your inventory and place them inside the Hut.

Junimos will consume one bag of Raisins per in-game week, and once the Junimos have been given their precious Raisins, there is a chance that they will harvest double the crops and will work slightly faster.

To save time, you can stack multiple bags of Raisins inside the Hut and the Junimos will consume them over time, meaning you only have to go back every now and then to refill their supply.
