How to make Crab Melts in Disney Dreamlight Valley

Your cheesy ticket to riches

One of the recipes added to Disney Dreamlight Valley as part of the Rift in Time DLC is Crab Melts. Considering how much energy you get from eating it, or how much it sells for, you might be surprised to know how easy it is to make.

Of course it’s worth noting that you can’t make this 2-star appetizer unless you own the Rift in Time DLC. Despite being able to source the ingredients without the DLC, the recipe makes up part of the Eternity Isle collection.

As a 2-star Appetizer, you only need two ingredients in order to make Crab Melts:

  • 1 Crab
    • Fished from blue fishing spots in the Frosted Heights
    • Occasionally appears in white fishing spots, although this is less likely
  • 1 Cheese
    • Purchased from Chez Remy for 180 Star Coins

Are Crab Melts worth making in Disney Dreamlight Valley

Now, this is where Crab Melts come into their own. Despite only being a two ingredient dish, which realistically only costs 180 Star Coins and a little time to make, Crab Melts will provide you with a really good profit and a lot of energy.

When consumed, Crab Melts will give you at least 2,549 energy. There are only three 2-star recipes which provide more energy than this meal, and their ingredients are arguably much harder to source, so Crab Melts is definitely a good choice if you’re wanting to get a lot of energy quickly.

In terms of profit, Goofy will gladly take Crab Melts off your hands for at least 1,014 Star Coins. The only ingredient which needs to be purchased in order to make this meal is Cheese, which costs 180 Star Coins. That means that for each serving that you sell, you’re going to make 834 Star Coins of pure profit at a minimum.

It’s also entirely possible for Crab Melts to come up as a favorite gift or as a request at Chez Remy, and you can use it as a decoration for your Valley as well. To do this, just drop it from your inventory and then enter the Furniture menu to place it where you want it to be.
