Below is the exact recipe to make Coq en Barbouille:

  • Poultry
  • Onion
  • Grapes
  • Any vegetable

While the fourth ingredient can be any vegetable you’d like, poultry, onion, and grapes are mandatory. Once you have all four items, go to the Chez Remy kitchen, a stove, or a campfire and use them alongside a piece of coal in the cooking pot to make your dish.

How to get Coq en Barbouille ingredients in Disney Dreamlight Valley

Although items like onions and other regular vegetables are easy to get through the base game, poultry and grapes require you to dive into A Rift in Time content and finish some of its quests. Below is a complete breakdown of each ingredient and their locations:

  • Poultry – Buy from Gaston’s stall in The Wastes after completing his level two friendship quest.
  • Onion – Purchase from the Forest of Valor Goofy stall.
  • Grapes – Purchase from the Ancient’s Landing Goofy stall.
  • Any vegetable – Buy from any Goofy stall.

Of these four items, poultry is the hardest to obtain, as it requires progressing through the A Rift in Time storyline, followed by Gaston’s first friendship quest. It’s also not guaranteed to appear on any given day, as the shop cycles through three items. You may log on one day and see only two items available rather than all three. Once poultry appears, you’ll have to pay 500 Star Coins to buy one, making this expensive if you’re planning to cook all day.

As well, your vegetable options for the fourth ingredient include anything in the vegetable section of your collection log. I used mushrooms for this, and that worked, too, despite being listed as a spice, so you’re welcome to use those for your Coq en Barouille dish if you have extras on hand. Otherwise, the other three items will always stay the same.
