How to lift the ship from the Tar Pits Jedi Survivor

You’ll need to come back after you get another Force power

Recommended Videos

Star Wars Jedi: Survivor has a copious amount of sidequests, andĀ many of them ask players to come back later after they’ve acquired special abilities. The stuck ship is one of the most notorious quests of this lot, as you’ll find it on the planet Koboh directly after the intro, but can’t actually clear it until you’ve picked up the Force Lift power. Here’s how to find the droid and lift the ship out of the tar.

How to find the ship stuck in the Tar Pits

You’ll find the Droid at the Gorge Crash Site, just before the main Tar Pit area. The exact location can be found on the map above, and note that the image is oriented where the Rambler’s Reach hub is in the northwestern corner of the map.

Speak to the droid to learn about its plight, and then shrug and walk off: because you can’t actually help it yet.

After you get the Force Lift power in the main story, you can yank it out and get theĀ “There is no Try” achievement/trophy

Approximately 10 hours (or more) after you first encounter the stuck ship, you’ll unlock the power needed to pull it out. That power is Force Lift, and you’ll get it when you’re on the “Lucrehulk” mission of the campaign on Koboh (the very same planet).

After you acquire it, you can immediately head back to the stuck ship and lift it out, acquiring the “There is no Try” achievement/trophy. Following that, make sure you do two things:

  • Talk to the droid to “recruit” it
  • Jump onto the ship and grab the extra Force upgrade

Sidequest complete! The droid will return to Rambler’s Reach as a bit of story fluff.
