There are a handful of ways to join the Closed Beta before it opens on September 9, 2025, so if you want to take part, follow these simple steps.

To gain access to the Closed Beta of 2XKO, you have a few options available to you.

For starters, if you have already played in earlier public play tests for the Alpha Lab 1 and/or 2, on PC
or console platforms, you will automatically have access to the 2XKO Closed Beta on PC. Console Closed Beta will not be available on Sept. 9, so if you want to play in the Closed Beta, you’ll need to download it on PC, as no date for the console Closed Beta has been announced at this time.

Newer global players can join throughout the beta by signing up at 2xko.riotgames.com/beta. You’ll then presumably enter a raffle for a chance at gaining access to the Closed Beta. So be sure to check your inbox to see if Riot invites you to the game during release. You could get a response straight away or a few weeks down the line, so be prepared to wait a bit to gain access.

Gaining access to the Closed Beta will let you try out the starting 8 champion roster, which includes Vi, Jink, Ekko, Yasuo, Illaoi, Darius, Braum, and Ahri. Details about modes and whether skins will be purchasable, among other aspects of the Closed Beta, are unknown at this time.

If you are unable to play on PC, it is still worth signing up for when the console Closed Beta becomes available, so you have access and are ready to go in the future.
