How to heal Pawns in Dragon’s Dogma 2

Pawns deserve some love too.

Since Pawns will basically lay down their lives for the Arisen, it seems only fair to help them out during the game’s many dire situations. But sometimes, you may feel helpless whenever their health bars enter the red zone without a clear way to replenish it. We’re here to help these wounded parties by showing you how to heal Pawns in Dragon’s Dogma 2.

How do you heal Pawns in Dragon’s Dogma 2?

To heal Pawns, use one of the following methods in Dragon’s Dogma 2:

  • Give them a Curative item
  • Heal them with magic
  • Rest at an Inn or Campsite

Any items you gather can be shared amongst the group. Select a healing product, like the Salubrious Draught, and press the ‘Give’ option to the desired party. I tested it out with a Pawn, and they immediately consumed it to replenish their health.

Those with the Mage or Sorcerer Vocation may also heal their companions. But if you don’t have this ability, a Pawn with these skills can help others. Dragon’s Dogma 2’s teamwork mechanics are pretty exemplary, as Mages or Sorcerers will often heal the team, no questions asked.

If everyone in the party is on their way to the death bed, resting is recommended. Any Inn will do, but to save some gold, look for a Campsite around the area. However, be sure to eliminate nearby enemies before setting up camp. Preparations can also be made to increase the Pawn’s defenses. Head to the Equipment section to set them up with better gear and prolong their survivability in battle.

When worse comes to worst, revives are available when the Pawn’s health hits zero. Interact with them before the timer (above their body) runs out; otherwise, they will be removed from the group. Multiple revives may be done, and the Pawn’s health will match the current status of the Arisen’s HP.
