How to harvest purple from your vegetable patch in Disney Dreamlight Valley

There are a lot of vegetables to plant and harvest in Disney Dreamlight Valley, and the Lovely Monsters Star Path has included some of them in its duties. One of them, which tells you to harvest purple from your vegetable patch, can be a little confusing at first glance. 

The ‘purple’ that this duty refers to comes in three varieties:

• Eggplants
• Turnips 
• Flute Roots

You’ll need to plant and harvest 50 in total, either of one type or a combination of the above vegetables. Don’t worry, we’ve got the lowdown on how to get them and how to tend to your crops.

How to get Eggplant Seeds in Disney Dreamlight Valley

This is the only option for completing this duty if you don’t have the DLC, A Rift in Time, because the other vegetable seeds which could fulfil the requirements of this duty can only be purchased on Eternity Isle. 

Eggplant Seeds can be purchased from Goofy’s Stall in Frosted Heights after the first upgrade, costing 95 Star Coins each. They take three hours to grow and will need two waterings, one when first planted and one at the halfway point. When they’re finished growing, you’ll get one Eggplant per seed you planted. 

How to get Turnip Seeds in Disney Dreamlight Valley

Turnip Seeds can be purchased from Goofy’s Stall in the Wild Tangle on Eternity Isle. They cost 100 Star Coins each, but yield two Turnips per seed, so you’ll only need to buy and plant 25 of them to complete this duty. Turnips take four hours to grow and you’ll need to water them twice in that time. 

How to get Flute Root Seeds in Disney Dreamlight Valley

Flute Root Seeds can be purchased from Goofy’s Stall in the Glittering Dunes. These are probably your best (and cheapest) option if you have them available to you, because they only cost 70 Star Coins and each seed will give you two Flute Roots at the time of harvest. On top of this, they only take 75 minutes to grow, but you’ll need to water them twice in that time.
