How to get your car unstuck in Schedule 1

Even our poor, precious cars can get stuck in random spots sometimes.

There’s nothing worse than buying your first car in Schedule 1, driving it around, and getting stuck minutes later. While attempting to push it would be hilarious, there’s another way to get it unstuck as long as you know which NPC to visit.

You can get your car unstuck by visiting the mechanic opposite Hyland Auto. Here, you can talk to an NPC to teleport the vehicle to the building’s front entrance, letting you drive it around again without paying any fees.

Schedule 1’s storyline will introduce you to the mechanic, Hyland Auto, and Ray’s Realty early in your playthrough. However, you can revisit these spots anytime by traveling southeast toward the bottom of the map. If you’re near Northtown’s Motel, you’ll find this location by following the roads past Taco Ticklers, Slop Shop, and Thrifty Threads and crossing the canal to Gas-Mart’s plaza.

The mechanic doesn’t charge you anything for unsticking the car, letting you do this as often as you need to. However, it can be a far distance to run on foot, so it’s worth having a skateboard around or a second car if you have the funds for it. The mechanic also lets you repaint your vehicle after retrieving it, so at least you can leave the shop in style.

Although this method works for unsticking your car, getting your character out of a messy situation requires a different menu. You can unstick your character by opening your pause menu and selecting “I’m stuck” to teleport yourself to the nearest safe spot.

If you and your vehicle are stuck, your best bet is to use this option to unstick yourself before running to the mechanic and teleporting your car. It’ll take some time, but at least you won’t lose thousands on an inaccessible vehicle or be forced to buy a new one.
