How to get the Narrow Minded mod in Warframe

Its use cases aren't so narrow.

Getting a build for your frame or weapon in Warframe is quite a chore. Once you know which mods you want, there’s typically a handful of separate locations you need to visit with specific, time-consuming conditions to be met if you want a chance at the mod.

That’s not including the Credit and Endo investment needed to make the mod useable. One such mod comes from a fairly niche mechanic, but one that can give a lot of strong mods. Here’s how to get the Narrow Minded mod in Warframe.

Where to find the Narrow Minded mod in Warframe

The Narrow Minded mod is acquired through opening Orokin Derelict Vaults. To open these vaults, you must first get four different types of Dragon Keys. The reusable blueprints for these are acquired through the Orokin Lab of a Clan Dojo, with you wanting the Bleeding, Exhausted, Decaying, and Extinguished Dragon Key blueprints.

Take these blueprints to your Foundry within your Orbiter and craft them, then equip them to your gear wheel (found in the Arsenal). Be mindful that having these equipped will provide major debuffs depending on the Dragon Keys you take. Taking all four can make the mission troublesome, so you should run the mission with someone else, each taking two types of Dragon Keys.

Once you have the Dragon Key situation figured out, head to a map using the Orokin Derelict tileset. These can be found on any node on Deimos, excluding the maps Cambion Drift, Magnacidium, Exequias, Hyf, and any nodes added with Whispers in the Walls. For simplicity, I suggest you run Horend like I normally do.

Once you’re on the mission, look for a Dragon Key door similar to the one pictured above with a Dragon Key at the center of the door. Whoever has the right Dragon Key should interact with the door to open it, and then interact with the orange light inside. From there, simply complete the mission for a chance at Narrow Minded. Like all other mods earnable through this method, you have a 4.16% chance to snag it.

Is the Narrow Minded mod worth using?

The Narrow Minded mod, at max rank, increases your Ability Duration by 99% while lowering your Ability Range by 66%. This makes the mod particularly strong for frames that use channeled abilities since Ability Duration slows the Energy drain considerably. I use it on my Mesa Prime build since it helps me stay in her ultimate ability much longer and show my enemies the 150 rounds in my six-round magazine.
