Your guns in Remnant 2 are undoubtedly your most important piece of equipment. If you can’t mow down your enemies successfully, how are you ever going to progress? Thankfully, early on you can obtain a weapon called the Cube Gun, which is very powerful at the beginning of Remnant 2. However, when just starting it can be a bit tricky figuring out where exactly to find the weapon. This guide will highlight the weapon’s strengths and show you how to get the Cube Gun in Remnant 2.
How to get the Cube Gun in Remnant 2
Like most weapons in Remnant 2, the Cube Gun is crafted by the NPC McCabe in Ward 13. She’s the one you will always go to if you need to craft new weapons or Weapon Mods.
The exact materials required to craft the Cube Gun are: 1 Conflux Prism, 7Â Lumenite Crystals, and 650 Scrap. Scrap is an abundantly available material that most enemies drop on death. Furthermore, most chests throughout the game will have some Scrap in them. Lumenite Crystals can be bought from Cass for 300 Scrap, but also drop from Aberrations and Elite Enemies.
Finally, the Conflux Prism drops from the boss called the Labyrinth Sentinel. You will encounter the Labyrinth Sentinel as a required story boss while progressing through the game. At the end of your first visit to The Labyrinth, you will encounter this boss. It’s a pretty easy encounter, and your reward is the Conflux Prism which you can use to craft the Cube Gun.
Is the Cube Gun good in Remnant 2?
Even though it’s a handgun that goes in your secondary slot, the Cube Gun is very strong early on in Remnant 2. It excels in medium-range combat and is also efficient in close-quarters combat. It’s an extremely accurate weapon at these distances. Furthermore, it has a magazine size of five. This can seem a bit small, however, the projectiles return back to the weapon after firing. Therefore, you never have to worry about ammunition with this gun as it is infinite.
The Cube Gun also comes equipped with the Cube Shield Weapon Mod. When used, the weapon will create a cube-shaped shield in front of the player that absorbs up to 500 damage from incoming projectiles over 15 seconds. When the Weapon Mod is reactivated or 15 seconds has passed, the Cube Shield fires forward, damaging enemies it connects with based on the damage it absorbed.
The combination of being extremely accurate and powerful, with a very unique and effective Weapon Mod, makes the Cube Gun one of the strongest early game weapons in Remnant 2.
