How to get Sylveon in Pokémon Scarlet & Violet

You have a few options

Recommended Videos

The entire “Eevee-lution” suite is back in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet, and that includes Sylveon. Thankfully, like other types of Eevees in the game, you do have options: and you won’t need to completely start from scratch. Here’s how to get your very own Sylveon.

How to catch a wild Sylveon

Sylveon appear in the wild, but they are a rare spawn.

The best place to locate them is the southwest corner of the map, near the Alfornada gym. You may also locate it via a tera battle in the wild, so keep your eyes open for its very distinct character model.

How to Evolve Eevee into Sylveon

If you don’t want to catch a Sylveon directly (or you can’t find one), you can get an Eevee and evolve it yourself.

Make sure you teach your Eevee a fairy type move (so you don’t accidentally evolve it into another form) to get a Sylveon. You also need to make sure your friendship rating is high enough to allow it to evolve.

Here are the easiest ways to level up your friendship rating:

  • Using it as your lead Pokemon and walking around with it outside of its ball (ZR)
  • Battling with it, without it fainting
  • Giving your Eevee a Soothe Bell (from a Delibird Presents in Cascaraffa)

We have a comprehensive guide on raising friendship ratings here for further reading!
