You won't need a workbench or crafting menu screen for this one.

How to find stone blocks in Nightingale

Obtaining stone blocks requires using your mining pick to break boulders around the world. Upon breaking a large rock, it will drop stone blocks to grab and store in your inventory. Early on, your Makeshift Mining Pick can do this, with upgraded tools making the process faster later on.

In other words, you don’t need to make stone blocks at a workbench or through your crafting menu. If you have a pickaxe, you can break large rocks in any realm to collect this resource. Each weighs one kilogram, so watch your inventory capacity and carry weight to make sure you don’t exceed your limit. You’ll also want to watch your mining pick’s durability and keep up on repairs if it’s about to break.

Be careful as you search around since stone blocks differ from regular rocks. Alongside large boulders, you’ll find small rocks on the ground, which you can pick up with your hands. Unlike stone blocks, you don’t need a mining pick to obtain them.

Once you have your stone blocks, you can use them to create an Estate Cairn. The Estate Cairn is a structure that keeps an area safe from enemies and creates a respawn point if your character dies. You can also use stone blocks to build solid stone walls, floors, and stairs if you prefer their appearance over wood variants.
