How to get Segunda in Type Soul

With the newest Type Soul update, Arrancar players can finally get Segunda and become as strong as the other races in the game. However, if you’re not familiar with the process to do so, it can be a bit difficult finding where to go to start the Segunda quest and actually obtaining your Segunda. This is how to get Segunda in Type Soul as well as the prerequisites for doing so.

How to get Segunda

1. First, you must start as an Arrancar. Segunda is unique to Arrancar, and cannot be obtained by Soul Reaper’s or Quincy’s.
2. Next, you need to have already become a Vastocar. The quest will not start as a base Arrancar. You can read how to do so here.
3. The final prerequisite is that you must get Full Res. We also have a guide on that here.
4. Head up the fallen tree and into the Arrancar cave. In the back you will find a sword that you can click on, prompting a Segunda Quest popup at the bottom of your screen. You’ve been here many times as Arrancar, but you can check the screenshot above to see the location of the cave.
5. Accept the first quest, which it says is to Slay 20 Powerful Foes. This simply means you have to kill—and Grip—20 people who are in Bankai, Voltstanding, or Full Res modes. You have to have dealt the highest amount of damage to the player for it to count as a Segungda Grip.
6. You can return to the sword in the cave at any time to check your progress. Once you’ve gripped 20 Powerful Foes, you will receive Segunda.

To get the grips, the easiest way is to just hop servers and ask players in their mode if you can grip them. Most are willing to help out as there is no penalty for doing so. Another option is to head to Karakura Town and join the Raids. Find someone who is in mode then pop Full Res, burst them down, then grip them.
