How to get more Relic Points in Cyberpunk 2077

Rack up those points.

The latest updates to Cyberpunk 2077, in both 2.0 and Phantom Liberty, unlocked a wealth of new customization options for V. One of those paths is the Relic skill tree, a special branch for Phantom Liberty owners. To max it out, V will need to find and acquire Relic points in the world of Cyberpunk 2077.

It’s important to note that this skill tree stands apart from the main skill trees in Cyberpunk 2077. Unlike the attribute and perk points, Relic perks are unlocked using Relic points, which are special to Cyberpunk 2077 Phantom Liberty and its new area, Dogtown.

Unlocking the Relic tree in Cyberpunk 2077 Phantom Liberty

An important note to those looking: to use the Relic tree, you’ll need to have access to Cyberpunk 2077 Phantom Liberty. So if you’re trying to hop in with just the base game, you’re out of luck.

The Relic tree is unlocked as part of the main quest that kicks off Phantom Liberty, “Dog Eat Dog.” The netrunner Songbird will make contact with you outside of Dogtown through the Relic and, as a gesture of goodwill, unlock some hidden Militech data stored in the recesses of the Relic.

This is also when you’ll get your first injection of Relic points, enough to purchase one of the three main upgrades for either Optical Camo, arm cyberware, or detecting vulnerabilities.

How to get more Relic points

After that first drop, you’ll get one more big dump of Relic points as part of the main story quest of Cyberpunk 2077 Phantom Liberty. When you get the chance to meet up with Songbird after she calls you, while you’re out running other quests, make sure to do it.

Otherwise, you’ll need to seek out various terminals scattered around Dogtown to acquire more points. These terminals will award you with more points to spend on your upgrades. Of course, it’s never so easy. Obstacles, like enemies, will often be in the way. But at this point, you should be able to deal with a few mechs and mercs.
