Each unique map you can visit in Marvel Rivals has some unique components and gameplay elements. Interacting with these aspects is oftentimes tied to tasks you can complete for rewards, like the Flawed Ascension achievement.

How to complete Flawed Ascension in Marvel Rivals
To complete the Flawed Ascension achievement, you need to use the central pyramid elevator to launch yourself into the air in Thebes. A few key requirements must be met to actually make this happen.
- Load a Quick Match or Competitive round. The map you need to visit for this task is exclusive to these two modes. You can technically create a custom match to visit Thebes, too, but achievements aren’t tracked in those, so you must be in either Quick Match or Competitive to actually check it off. It’s best to choose Quick Match when working on earning achievements, as the setting is much less high-stakes than Competitive.
- Visit Thebes. In every round you load into, the map is randomly chosen from the vast pool of possible spawn locations. You need to visit Thebes to get this task done, so if another location is instead chosen, you’ll have to wait and keep playing until you manage to get it.
- If you’re playing within five days of the launch of the Thebes map, which arrived on July 23, you can select the Quick Match (Thebes) mode to guarantee you visit this location. It’s only around for a bit, though, so if you miss this window, you’ll have to hope luck is on your side instead.
- Locate the central pyramid elevator. You’re looking for a glowing golden circle on the ground with four pillars surrounding it. It’s right in the middle of the indoor area, and most jump pads around this region also lead you to it.
- Launch yourself into the air. Once you find the elevator, walk onto the golden circle on the ground to be launched way up into the air. This completes the Flawed Ascension achievement.
Where to find the central pyramid elevator in Marvel Rivals
The central pyramid elevator can be found in the middle of the first section of the Thebes map. You need to be indoors to find and use this unique contraption, as there’s only one elevator in the entire location, and it’s right at the heart of the pyramid.
You can technically visit and use the elevator at any point during the match, but it’s generally easiest to attempt this task as early on as possible. The elevator is close to where the fight begins, so using it right away is your best bet for success.

To successfully use the central pyramid elevator to launch yourself into the air in Thebes for the Flawed Ascension achievement, you need to walk onto the elevator and soar up into the air from it once. The elevator shoots you up into the sky and out the side of the pyramid automatically, so just let it run its course to get this task done.
When you’re shot outside, you might be worried about falling to your demise, as you’ll be hovering in the open air for quite a bit. As long as you don’t move around at all, you’ll be fine, as there’s a pocket beneath you that catches you and pushes you further along the elevator’s path.
