Festive Cocoa Beans can be found on the ground around a red and white picnic blanket on The Winter Floating Festival event island. They’re an event-exclusive variant of regular Cocoa Beans, so you must be on the special island to find them.

This ingredient is tough to find even when you know what you’re looking for, so if you’re having trouble tracking them down, here’s a step-by-step breakdown of how to locate them.

  • Start at the wishing well in the center of the island. There’s only one well on the whole island, so it’s an easy landmark to track down.
  • From the wishing well, head through the small, frosty archway right between the massive ornament balls and the purple cottage. This archway leads over to the Chocolate Fountain puzzle.
  • Walk toward the Chocolate Fountain puzzle, then make a right as soon as you reach it.
  • Head through another frosty archway to walk onto a stone path, then stop.
  • Locate the Kid Snowman a few feet in front of you, which is one of the ones you need to count during the Pillar puzzle.
  • Head through the small gap right behind the Kid Snowman, which is an opening right between the cottage that resembles Gaston’s house and the icy castle that looks like Anna, Kristoff, and Olaf’s home.
  • Walk over to the picnic blanket to find Festive Cocoa Beans on the ground all around it.

How often do Festive Cocoa Beans respawn in Disney Dreamlight Valley?

New Festive Cocoa Beans spawn about every five minutes. Up to five Festive Cocoa Beans can be present at any given time, so to make room for more to appear, you’ll need to ensure there are fewer than five already present.

If you want to farm lots of this resource at once, equip two foraging Companions and leave your game open while standing by the blanket. Whenever new Festive Cocoa Beans spawn, your loyal critter friends will grab them for you, ensuring fresh ones spawn in frequently.

Festive Cocoa Beans are a crucial item to have lots of if you want to complete the entire The Winter Floating Festival event. You need them to brew all Festive Hot Cocoa recipes, which can then be used to feed the Frosty Rabbit and complete the Chocolate Fountain puzzle.
