How to get Destiny 2 Luna’s Howl God Rolls

Guardians never die. But we don't forget those who do.

Bungie is pulling out all of the stops with Destiny 2: Into the Light and that includes pairing popular hand cannons with lore about puppies. The terror of the Crucible, Luna’s Howl, has made its return with plenty of flexibility for PvE and PvP fans. Here are the God Rolls to give you the edge in each.

How to get Luna’s Howl in Destiny 2

Luna’s Howl is one of the two final weapons available during Destiny 2: Into the Light. Logging in prior to The Final Shape will give a quest to see Arcite 99-40 in the Hall of Champions. Shaxx’s Redjack requires Guardians to eliminate foes across the system. Doing so will award a Curated Roll and allow players to attune to the weapon, increasing its drop rate in the Onslaught activity.

Destiny 2 Luna’s Howl God Rolls

PvE God Roll

This roll of Luna’s Howl takes what I love about a Solar Titan Precious Scars build and gives it to everyone. Dropping a target spreads Scorch to its buddies while you reload and heal your fireteam. By increasing the Reload Speed, you’ll be ready to drop any survivors. You get healed for blowing up your enemies. I see that as an absolute win.

  • Corkscrew Rifling: Increases Handling, Range, and Stability by +5.
  • Flared Magwell: Increases Reload Speed by +15 and Stability by +5.
  • Heal Clip: Reloading shortly after defeating a foe grants Cure to you and nearby allies.
  • Incandescent: Defeating a foe spreads Scorch to nearby targets.
  • Masterworked Reload Speed: Increases Reload Speed by +10.

PvP God Roll

Luna’s Howl loses some of its explosive charm in PvP, but that only means it’s much better suited for dealing with single targets. The Range buffs enable earlier engagement while Eye of the Storm and Precision Instrument work over the course of an encounter to give you the edge. I’d expect this hand cannon to see a resurgence in popularity with PvP fans.

  • Hammer-forged Rifling: Increases Range by +10.
  • Ricochet Rounds: Increases Range by +5 and Stability by +10. Additionally, rounds ricochet off hard surfaces.
  • Eye of the Storm: Handling and Accuracy increase as shields drop from 40% to 0%.
  • Precision Instrument: Dealing sustained damage grants a stacking damage buff.
  • Masterworked Range: Increases Range by +10.
