How to Get Demonic Pickaxe in The Forge [Official]

Updated on December 8, 2025: Removed the two unofficial methods and added the official method to get the Demonic Pickaxe via the Skal quest in Volcanic Depths.

There’s finally an official way to get the Demonic Pickaxe and it’s from the Demon Skal quest that gives you the Demonic Key. Then it’s all about opening the demonic door in Volcanic Depths. Here’s a step-by-step guide on how to get the Demonic Pickaxe in The Forge.

How to Find Demonic Pickaxe in The Forge

To get the Demonic Pickaxe or Demonite Pickaxe you need to finish Skal’s quest on Island 2 Volcanic Depths. The quest gives you the Demonic Key you can use to open the door in the Volcanic Depths region. Below you’ll find all the steps for getting the Pickaxe:

1. Go to Island 2 Forgotten Kingdom, enter the caves and make a right toward the Volcanic area.
2. Mine the two rocks next to the NPC Amber that sells the Magma Pickaxe and drop down to enter the Volcanic Depths.
3. Go to the Demon Skal and accept his quest (As in the video above).
4. Mine 3 Demonite from Volcanic Rock nodes (I recommend doing it with the Arcane Pickaxe and stacking Miner Shards on it).
5. Go back to Skal and turn in the quest to get the Demonite Key as the quest reward.
6. Follow the video below to reach the Demonic Gate, open it with the key and buy the Demonic Pickaxe from the altar right behind the gate.

The Forge Demonic Pickaxe Stats

• Mine Power: 180
• Mine Speed: -10%
• Luck Boost: +51%
• Rune Slot: 3
• Cost: $500,000

The Demonic Pickaxe isn’t actually a must-have in my opinion and it might be too expensive making it not worth the grind. While it does have the best ore damage at 180, it’s a bit slow. The Arcane Pickaxe has lower damage but is faster so it’s not that far behind. With the speed debuff you’re looking at around 160 damage in practice. Overall, it might just be worth sticking with Arcane Pickaxe or Magma Pickaxe but if you’re swimming in cash then go for it. It does mine well numbers wise.
