How to get Charcadet in Pokémon Go

This one's got some fire!

The Pokémon Horizons: The Series Celebration event debuts three new powerful creatures from Scarlet and Violet. It all starts with the Fire-type Charcadet, who then evolves into the fierce Armarouge or Ceruledge. So, to get started with collecting new ‘mons, let’s begin with the first critter by showing you how to get Charcadet in Pokémon Go.

Where to find Charcadet in Pokémon Go

Charcadet can be hatched from 2 km, 5 km, and 10 km Eggs until the Pokémon Horizons: The Series Celebration ends. The event will last until March 11, 2024, at 8 PM local time.

But if you happen to miss your chances with the celebration, fret not. Once the event is over, Charcadet will still hatch from 10 km Eggs, but the smaller-scale items will no longer result in its appearance. Like any standard Egg, walking is required for hatching, and it must be placed in an Incubator. Trainers can keep track of their progress by selecting the Pokéball icon and then tapping the Pokémon section.

Eggs appear gradually at PokéStops or from successful battle completions. Unfortunately, they won’t always result in Charcadet, even if you’ve met the requirements. In that case, obtain as many Eggs as possible and focus on the ones with the shorter walking lengths to save some time. Hatching also provides double XP, while the Pokémon Horizons: The Series Celebration lasts.

How to evolve Charcadet in Pokémon Go

After Charcadet has been hatched, it’s time to work on its evolution. Equip Charcadet as a buddy and defeat 30 Psychic-types for Armarouge or 30 Ghost-types for Ceruledge. You can choose either based on what you want in a team member. Additionally, Charcadet does not need to fight in battle for this to work, as it only needs to be a buddy.

If you aren’t too familiar with these Pokémon, Armarouge is a Fire and Psychic-type, while Ceruledge is a Fire and Ghost-type. Based on my time with them in Scarlet and Violet, they both are excellent fighters, so there isn’t necessarily a “bad” choice.
