How to get Mythic Goldfish in Fortnite
In Chapter Seven, season three, you have a chance of finding the Mythic Goldfish through any regular looting method. Since it’s a Mythic item, though, it’s exceptionally rare, which means you’re not likely to come across it through standard floor loot or chests.
Instead, for the best bets of finding this item, you’ll want to focus on golden fishing spots and blue rare chests. These two options present the best chances of finding rare items like the Mythic Goldfish.
To find golden fishing spots, search for any fishable body of water to have a shot of finding one. When you do, grab a fishing rod from a nearby barrel and toss the line in to see what you find. For blue chests, you can head to POIs marked with a shining blue name on the map in each round, as these spots have better loot and are more likely to have rare chests spawn. Visiting Vaults is also a great way to find chests containing rarer loot like the Mythic Goldifish.
The spawn chances for the Mythic Goldfish are quite low, so even when you’re looking in the right places, whether or not you’re able to find it really comes down to luck. If you’re determined to acquire it, though, you can boost your odds by doing as much looting as possible in every round. The more looting you do, the more chances there are for you to find one.
What does the Mythic Goldfish do in Fortnite?
The Mythic Goldfish is a throwable item you can toss at any enemy to deal considerable damage. If it hits them, it does enough damage to instantly knock them down, even if they’re at full health. This effectively makes it a one-shot weapon when used correctly.
It’s a bit of a ridiculous, but powerful weapon, as there’s nothing else quite like it, or capable of dealing this much damage in just one blow. Because of this, you’ll want to be sure you hold onto it and use it whenever you do manage to find one. It can be tough to use, especially since your opponent will likely be firing away at you using a gun, so make sure your aim is true and consider practicing your throws before entering real combat with it.
