How to get and use Sparkly Treasure in Monster Hunter Wilds

Give me that sparkle.

Each region of Forbidden Lands hides precious treasures waiting to be unearthed. While some will be easy to find, others will often take you on a wild goose chase. Monster Hunter Wilds‘ Sparkly Treasure is one of the rarest ones, and we’re here to show how to get it.

Where to find Sparkly Treasure in MH Wilds

You can get Sparkly Treasure from Scarlet Forest’s Weathered Treasures or Plumpeach’s Material Retrieval. Note that both methods will mandate a lot of time and patience, as the drops are completely randomized. I had the most luck with Plumpeach’s Material Retrieval, where the item appeared in Wudwud’s Collectibles. This method requires you to unlock the Scarlet Forest’s Farm, requiring you to reach High-Rank status and complete the Make Fluffy Dealings side quest.

The Material Retrieval system changes daily, so you must check back every day to see if the Sparkly Treasure ever shows up. To reduce travel, speak to Nata at the Base Camp, giving you access to the Farm’s Village Intermediary. If you have plenty of Guild Points, you can rest and wake up the following day to get more items from Material Retrieval. Rinse and repeat until you eventually get Sparkly Treasure.

Those who’ve had no such luck with the Farming system can opt for the Weathered Treasures at Scarlet Forest. You’ll likely find a lot of Shiny Treasures initially, but hopefully, it’ll open the door to the Sparkly variant. You can increase your chances with a Talisman Geology 2 ability or the Hidden Armor Set’s Forager’s Luck skill. If you looted all Weathered Treasures spots, you can participate in an Optional Quest to get them to respawn.

How to use Sparkly Treasure in MH Wilds

The Sparkly Treasure often comes up with Item Trades, which you can use to exchange for robust materials. You’ll likely use it for the Hidden Armor Set‘s Great Hornfly resource, unlocking the King Beetle α and Butterfly α equipment.

You may be able to exchange them for more Rarity 6 items, which are some of the most valuable gems in Monster Hunter Wilds. You could also sell the Sparkly Treasure for 200 Zenny, but trust me, it’s worth holding onto for the Item Trades. There will be plenty of opportunities to rack up Zenny later, so just save it for something even better down the road.
