A force that's as strong as Magneton.

Pokemon Go’s Magnetic Lures work differently than regular modules by offering evolution capabilities. They’re required for several forms, like Magneton and Nosepass, and they also lure particular creature types. So, to understand this device, here’s how to get and use a Magnetic Lure in Pokemon Go.

Where to find Magnetic Lures in Pokemon Go

Magnetic Lures can be purchased for 180 Pokecoins in the in-game store or earned as a reward from Field Research and PokeStops. While the ladder involves Pokemon Go’s standard RNG, the former provides them instantly. Select the Pokeball at the center to find the Shop, then scroll down to the Items section for the transaction.

PokeCoins don’t always require you to utilize in-game currency, as it can be obtained for free at gyms. The longer a creature occupies a gym, the more coins a trainer receives. As a result, rewards will transfer after a Pokemon has returned, providing a notification of its success. However, PokeCoins present a daily limit of 50, no matter how many occupied gyms you have.

How to use Magnetic Lures in Pokemon Go

Interact with the Item bag and use the Magnetic Lure to attract Electric, Rock, and Steel-types for 30 minutes near a PokeStop. The module can also be utilized to evolve:

  • Magneton
  • Charjabug
  • Nosepass

Select any of the three Pokemon above with the Magnetic Lure active to begin evolving. You’ll still need to have enough Candy to do so, which can be earned through captures or equipping the creature as a buddy. However, keep track of the module’s time limit since the event can go by quickly.

Otherwise, trainers cannot evolve the three Pokemon when the Magnetic Lure is inactive. The evolutions from this interaction include Magneton for Magnezone, Nosepass for Probopass, and Charjabug for Vikavolt. All creatures are reasonably strong in battle, perfect for Pokemon Go’s competitive fighting.
