Peroxide is a game about farming drops, and any added benefit you can receive towards doing so goes a long way. There is an item called the Fortune Field Generator that can boost certain drop rates, and is well worth getting your hands on. This is how to get and use the Fortune Field Generator in Peroxide, and the best way to make use of it.
How to get the Fortune Field Generator
The Fortune Field Generator item in Peroxide is sold by the NPC Dr. Hydrogen for 850 Yen. Dr. Hydrogen is located inside a purple portal that spawns in a random spot in Peroxide each day. Once you find the purple portal, simply enter it and you will find Dr. Hydrogen inside selling three of nine items from a specific pool that includes the Fortune Field Generator.
Here are all of the items in the pool that Dr. Hydrogen will sell three of each day:
- Bungus – 2,000 Yen
- Charged Time Splitter – 5,500 Yen
- Cheese – 2,000 Yen
- Fortune Field Generator – 850 Yen
- Fungus – 300 Yen
- Peroxide Mixture – 350 Yen
- Skill Focus – 600 Yen
- Skill Obliterator – 800 Yen
- Time Splitter – 2,200 Yen
As of April 15, 2024, the portal to Dr. Hydrogen can be found in Karakura Town inside Urahara’s Shop. The Fortune Field Generator can in fact be dropped, as well.
What the Fortune Field Generator does in Peroxide
In Peroxide, the Fortune Field Generator boosts the drop chance of Boss Drops and increases the chance of obtaining Time Gate rewards. It’s very useful for farming both of these as at the moment they have low drop chances but the Fortune Field Generator really seems to boost it.
The Fortune Field Generator does not work with Invasions or Storm Delves, however. If you activate the Fortune Field Generator during either of these, it will simply not increase drop rates but also will not be consumed.
To use the Fortune Field Generator in Peroxide, you need to hold out the item while equipped on your hotkey bar, and then click it to turn it on and off. When it’s on and you defeat a Boss or successfully finish a Time Gate, your drop chances are automatically boosted and the Fortune Field Generator is used.
