ARC Raiders is full of all sorts of loot that you can find in the world, but not all loot is made equal.

You’ll need to find certain pieces to be able to progress the game, upgrade your workstations, or craft weapons of much higher power than a free loadout would give you. They’re of paramount importance to any raider out there, and should be sought as much as possible to ensure maximum efficacy in battle.

Advanced Mechanical Components are one such kind of loot, obtainable in various ways and yet still out of reach for many raiders.

So, here’s where you can find them.

Advanced Mechanical Components can be obtained in several ways: crafting, looting, and recycling. They’re most important for upgrading the Gunsmith to level three, as well as to make just about any of the more powerful weapons in the game.

To craft them, you’ll need access to the Refiner 2 workstation and at least two Steel Spring, and two Mechanical Components to make one Advanced Mechanical Component.

As for recycling, Advanced Mechanical Components are usually extracted out of the same guns they’re used to make: Bettina, Bobcat, Hullcracker, Osprey, Renegade, Tempest, Torrente, Venator, Vulcano. Some of these only drop Advanced Mechanical Components if they’re level two, three, or higher.

Bastion Cells and Leaper Drives, too, can drop them when dismantled.

As for looting, Advanced Mechanical Components can sometimes appear out in the wild, particularly in Mechanical loot zones or even other zones, but at a significantly lower spawn rate. Additionally, you can find them in Queen debris, which tends to spawn a lot of unique, high-level, or rare loot, including Advanced Mechanical Components.

Queens rarely spawn by themselves and only as part of the Harvester map condition. If you wanna take one of these girls on, be sure to bring a ton of explosives and super-high firepower, as well as a lot of teammates and other eager raiders that won’t turn the barrel onto you as soon as she shakes at the knees.
