How to fix the “verifying download cache” bug in Warframe

Verify that download cache.

With the “Whispers in the Walls” update, many have discovered the joys of Warframe. However, some have been prevented from playing due to errors popping up.

One of the most ubiquitous glitches is the “verifying download cache” one which appears on the intro screen infinitely, just when you’re about to play. The good news is that it can be easily fixed.

To do so, click on settings. That’s the cog at the top left of the screen. Here, there are a few options, but you’re looking for the “Download Cache” section. Once you’re here, click on verify and agree to any warning messages that appear. This should cease the game’s endless cache verification.

You’re done! Now you can exit and start playing. Many players, myself included are headed into the single-player campaign to experience what the game has to offer. Thus far, it appears the game begins with relatively high difficulty but eases up as it progresses.

A new Frame also arrives in March this year. Keep an eye out for this character in this long-running series and its Frames which are tough-looking and, oddly, eye-candy too.
