You can recover Treasure Trove clues by fishing out of special event red and gold ripple spots around the valley. These special spots look different from the standard white, blue, and gold ones that are native to the regular valley, so they’re fairly easy to spot once you know what you’re looking for.
Where to find red and gold Treasure Hunt fishing ripple spots in Disney Dreamlight Valley
The Treasure Hunt event fishing spots can spawn in any of the eight biomes present around the main valley. Each day, a random biome is chosen. The spawn biome and exact location in the water are different for everyone, so there’s no way to know where yours will appear outside of simply scouring all of the possible regions for it.
You’ll never encounter them in DLC worlds like Storybook Vale or Wishblossom Ranch, only in the main Dreamlight Valley area, including around all of the following areas:

There is just one red and gold Treasure Hunt event fishing spot present in the valley each day. You’ll never find more than this at any given time, as part of how this event works is that you must log in across the course of a few days to get it done.
When do Treasure Hunt event fishing spots respawn in Disney Dreamlight Valley?
A fresh Treasure Hunt fishing spot respawns once per day at 9am in your local timezone. You’ll find a new red and gold spot somewhere around the valley each day for a total of four days, allowing you to get the four clues you need to collect from them.
Finding a total of four Treasure Trove clues from fishing spots is crucial for checking off the Fishing for Adventure duty in the event. There’s still plenty more to get done before this one ends, though, including completing Expert Treasure Hunter, solving all event clues, and finding gold cracks.
