How to find the Matriarch in ARC Raiders

Where are you now?

The Matriarch is the latest apex predator in ARC Raiders, but finding her on the maps appears to be slightly problematic.

It’s long been expected that the Matriarch is going to be the largest ARC enemy (yes, bigger than the Queen). Hence, it shouldn’t be too difficult to spot one on the map, given you’re at the correct location. Unfortunately, many players, including myself, have been left in the mud trying to figure out its potential location. As it turns out, there was a bug that has now been fixed.

Where to find the Matriarch in ARC Raiders

Matriarch is one of the two new ARC enemies added to the game as part of The North Line update. Unlike the Shredder, the Matriarch isn’t exclusive to a single map. But it won’t spawn randomly. To meet this monster, you’ll have to wait for its event, which is taking place at Dam Battlegrounds at the time of writing (earlier, it was taking place at Blue Gate).

Here’s how the event describes itself: “A Matriarch has been sighted nearby. Her children seem hell-bent on keeping her from harm.”

Thankfully, the Matriarch wasn’t correctly spawning due to a bug, and it has since been fixed. As of this update on Nov. 13 at 2:30pm CT, you can find the Matriarch on the Dam Battlegrounds location, near the Red Lakes.

There was a popular theory on the official Discord that you might have to clear the nearby area of all ARC enemies. However, that theory was proved to be wrong based on the update from Embark.

I am pretty sure the Matriarch won’t have a fixed location on any map. For one, you have to wait for the event for it to spawn. The exact spawn location should be completely random and based on rounds, and you’ll need to check out the map conditions to find the location. As of writing, it might be present near Red Lakes, but that could change soon.
