How to find the Jabberwock in Disney Dreamlight Valley

It's a fearsome creature.

Elements of Wonderland have spilled into your regular village in Disney Dreamlight Valley. One of the unique creatures from this land you’ll come across is the Jabberwock, although it’s decently tricky to find.

Facing this beast is part of an essential quest for progressing your friendship with Alice. The Jabberwock is well hidden, and its location is only revealed to you with a vague clue, which means it takes quite a lot of effort to track it down. Here’s how to find the Jabberwock in Disney Dreamlight Valley.

Where is the house of bark in a wooded yard in Disney Dreamlight Valley?

The house of bark in a wooded yard is a log in the Forest of Valor. “House of bark” refers to a home made out of wood, which is the log, while “wooded yard” references the Forest of Valor, which is home to many trees.

There’s a forest in the Alice in Wonderland Realm, too, and the Jabberwock creature comes from this world, so you may be tempted to head there to search for it. You won’t find it there, though, as it made its way to the valley with Alice.

The Jabberwock can be found inside a log near the top left corner of the Forest of Valor region, slightly left of Elsa’s cave. This creature appears as a pair of glowing yellow eyes and nothing more, so you aren’t actually looking for a full-sized creature as you might expect.

This log blends in with the rest of the environment extremely well. You likely have other logs placed around the biome as decorations since it naturally comes with many. Finding the right one for the Mimsy Were the Borogoves quest is tough because of this.

You can only distinguish this log from the regular decorative ones that appear throughout the forest by looking for the Jabberwock’s glowing eyes. They can only be seen from the front of the log, so even this small difference isn’t always noticeable.

In my valley, the Jabberwock’s lair spawned right behind a house and a collection of flower bushes I had placed in this biome. It was difficult to progress in this quest because of how hidden it was, so make sure you check behind all items you have placed around the northwest corner of the region.

If you’re having trouble finding it, consider using Furniture mode to make the process easier. This mode allows you to freely look behind and around objects without moving them. You can also search the entire biome a lot more quickly this way since you don’t have to spend time walking around.

The precise location of the Jabberwock’s lair may look slightly different for you if you have items placed where it spawns. It will always appear roughly near the upper left corner of the Forest of Valor and left of Elsa’s cave, though, so just search this area thoroughly to find it.

After dealing with the Jabberwock, consider working on all Garden of Whimsy Star Path duties to unlock some fun Wonderland and Fairy-themed items. You also might want to check out the Star Wars items.
