The final batch of Chaos Cubes has arrived on the Fortnite island, so if you’re working through these quests in chronological order, this mission is the final one you need to complete. This batch of Chaos Cubes can be found around the Frigid Fortress region.
There have been lots of specific quests involving Chaos Cubes that have been released throughout the season. Each one is quite tricky to tackle, as you’re only given a general, large area to search for them. If you’re not sure where to look for these ones, here’s how to find Chaos Cubes in or around Frigid Fortress in Fortnite.

Find Chaos Cubes in or around Frigid Fortress in Fortnite
Like all Chaos Cube missions, this one tasks you with locating five Chaos Cubes scattered around the specified area on the Chapter Seven, season two map. For this one, you need to search the Frigid Fortress region, which can be found near the far northern end of the island.
You have to scour the main, central Frigid Fortress POI and several different Landmarks or smaller locations to successfully find all the cubes in this area. Luckily, each one looks the same, so you’re always on the hunt for small, orange, glowing cubes hovering a few feet off the ground. Once you’re within their general vicinity, these cubes are marked with a white diamond icon, making them a bit easier to pinpoint.
All Frigid Fortress Chaos Cube locations in Fortnite
Although you now have a general idea of where to start the hunt, finding these cubes is still a pretty daunting task. If you’re struggling with it, here are the exact locations you can visit to find and collect all five Chaos Cubes around the Frigid Fortress area.
- The first Chaos Cube can be found sitting on a table inside a building at the Storm Station Landmark location. This spot is located near the upper northwest end of the island, close to the very edge. Go up to the second floor of the large building on the eastern side of this area to find it.
- The second Chaos Cube can be found hovering over a hot tub inside a small red building located directly north of Frigid Fortress and west of Latte Landing. Locate the hot tub in the corner on the first floor of this building to collect it.
- The third Chaos Cube can be found inside the castle located at the main Frigid Fortress POI. To pinpoint this one, head to the middle of the castle, then go slightly east. Look for a grey horse statue sitting in a room attached to the main area. You’ll find the Chaos Cube hovering right over it.
- The fourth Chaos Cube can be found inside the cave that belongs to the Trog NPC. This cave is located near the bottom of the cliff over at the eastern edge of the Frigid Fortress area, close to where it transitions into Painted Palms.
- The fifth Chaos Cube can be found in a small ice cave that’s slightly southwest of the main Frigid Fortress area. Make your way across the frozen water directly north of Dark Dominion until you spot a small cave tucked into the side of the mountain. Head inside to grab the last Chaos Cube you can find in this region.
There are lots of different Chaos Cube quests, so although this one is the final one to be released, there’s a good chance you might be missing some from the earlier ones. If this is the case, you’ll want to get to work hunting for them around other key locations next, including Sandy Strip, Ripped Tides, Elites Outpost or Treechopped Timbermill, and New Sanctuary.
