Palworld 1.0 has added World Tree Passives into the pool of available options, and securing an Ominous Egg is your best chance at getting them. The World Tree Passives feel quite overpowered, too. Finding Pals with these passives will massively change your endgame squad builds.

Now, there are multiple ways to get these Pals, but Ominous Eggs will always guarantee that you find one with these new passives. In this guide, we will go through how to find them and what to use them for.

How to get an Ominous Egg in Palworld 1.0

The Ominous Egg is exclusive to the World Tree region. If you are a beginner or a mid-game player, you will first need to gain access to this region. This involves completing plenty of tasks to get to Sunreach Islands, then you have to locate Panthalus and defeat it to unlock the doors.

The exact location of an Ominous Egg is never going to be fixed. It will always be random, and you can find it practically anywhere in the World Tree region. It will spawn just like any regular egg, but it will have a distinct difference in appearance.

If you are unable to find an Ominous Egg, here’s what you can do instead:

  1. Find an egg in the Wall Tree region.
  2. Log out to the main screen and log back in.
  3. There’s a chance that the egg will respawn as an Ominous Egg. If not, simply log out once again and repeat the process until you manage to get an Ominous Egg.
  4. Once added to your inventory, you can then proceed towards hatching it and getting your pal.

How to use an Ominous Egg in Palworld

The process of hatching an ominous egg is just about the same as an ordinary egg. You need to have an Egg Incubator set up at your base. You can also use an Ancient Hatchery if you have unlocked and built it. Once your egg hatches, you will be able to find out what you got and what kind of World Tree passives they inherited.
