The Honeyglow Woods Adventure Pack offers quite a collection of exclusive content for you to explore in Disney Dreamlight Valley, including some special critters you can befriend. Hedgehogs are the only Companion featured in this DLC, but they’re quite cute and offer lots of unique benefits.

Befriending critters is one of the tougher tasks to work through, as it requires a lot of patience and careful attention to animal behaviors. The end results are quite rewarding, though, so here’s how to find and feed Hedgehogs in Disney Dreamlight Valley Honeyglow Woods.

Hedgehogs can be found running around all areas of Honeyglow Woods, as they’re an Adventure Pack DLC exclusive critter. You can find one in each unique region of this area, which includes Drowsybloom Acre, Gloommeadow, Braveheart Grove, and Nectar Apiary.

You can only find and meet Hedgehogs if you have the Honeyglow Woods Adventure Pack installed. This process works similarly to critters available in other DLC packs, like Sweet Bees, Geese and Skunks, which means the only way to meet the main versions of these Companions is through buying the DLC.

There’s a chance some other variants may appear in the Premium Shop in future updates, as has been the case with past DLC-exclusive Companions, but it’s not guaranteed, and they won’t be the same versions found in Honeyglow Woods. If you’re determined to find and meet classic Hedgehogs, you must do so through this Adventure Pack.

All Hedgehog locations in Disney Dreamlight Valley

Each unique Hedgehog you can find and befriend calls a specific region of Honeyglow Woods home. This means you won’t ever find them wandering around outside of their main biome. Here’s where to find each one.

  • The Classic Hedgehog can be found within Drowsybloom Acre
  • The Orange Hedgehog can be found within Gloomeadow
  • The Yellow Hedgehog can be found within Braveheart Grove
  • The Orange Hedgehog can be found within Nectar Apiary

How to approach Hedgehogs in Disney Dreamlight Valley

Unlike critters such as raccoons, alligators, or foxes from Disney Dreamlight Valley’s base game, you don’t need to play any red light-green light minigames or chase hedgehogs around the map. Instead, you can approach them and give them their favorite foods without any worries.

At most, they may be a little shy, but waiting next to them for a few seconds will cause the hedgehog to relax, allowing you to feed them. You’ll then get one step closer to unlocking Honeyglow Woods’ hedgehogs as companions to accompany you during future quests.

Hedgehog favorite food in Disney Dreamlight Valley

Hedgehogs’ favorite food is Golden Honey and Pufflebud Pods. You can find Golden Honey through Beekeeping, while Pufflebud Pods are available for purchase from the Seed Stall in Drowsybloom Acre. By placing flowers around any Busy Bees’ House, they’ll become pollinated, resulting in Golden Honey slowly being produced over time for you to gather. You can then farm for Pufflebud Pods while waiting for your honey to generate.

Golden Honey is by far the best way to quickly increase your bond with Hedgehogs, but since it’s a fairly tough resource to get your hands on, you might be seeking some other items they like, too. Hedgehogs also like any kind of fruit, but this won’t count as their actual, official favorite item and won’t be quite as rewarding as Golden Honey.

Feeding Hedgehogs their favorite foods rewards you with either Dream Shards, Memory Shards, or a Motif Bag like other critters. If you’re not ready to give them Golden Honey and Pufflebud Pods, feeding them any fruit will instead give you a randomized Dream Shard, Memory Shard, or Carrot Seed reward. You’ll need to feed each Hedgehog variant three times to unlock them as companions.

Hedgehog hangout bonus in Disney Dreamlight Valley

Hedgehogs have the foraging collection bonus. This means they’ll occasionally find extra foragable goods, like Apples, Blueberries, or Bananas, whenever you have them equipped at your side while collecting these items.

Hedgehog schedule and location in Disney Dreamlight Valley

Like all critters, the schedule for each Hedgehog is unique, which can make finding them rather tough. Here’s when each one is out and about around Honeyglow Woods each day.
