How to evolve a card in NBA 2K27
Evolution allows you to improve your existing cards in NBA 2K27 MyTeam with stat boosts and rarity upgrades. However, you can’t upgrade any card you want. Evolutions work on a specific set of cards that have separate designs.
- Each Evolution card has a specific requirement you have to complete.
- You can view the requirement from the Evolution tab of a suitable card.
- Put the card in your active lineup to complete the requirement.
- Once the requirement is met, go to the Evolution tab to complete the Evolution.
The degree of difficulty for completing an Evolution varies based on the base rarity of the card. If you refer to the Walker Emerald Item above, the first evolution is pretty simple: just play one game with the card.
The second evolution, in comparison, is harder to achieve since you have to get 20 assists (works across separate games).
How to get your free evolution cards in NBA 2K27 MyTeam
To get you started with evolutions, you get to pick from five Emerald freebies. All five of them can improve their stats, rarities, and the quality of the badges.
- Open MyTeam.
- Go to the Hone your Skills challenges.
- Scroll right until you reach the challenge section for evolutions.
- Complete all four required challenges, and you’ll get five different picks.
Here’s the list of all five options. Your choice doesn’t matter much since you can pick all five of them by completing the full challenge set. Evolve all five, and you’ll have a solid starting five to help your early game grind.
