All you’re given to go off is this fairly vague hint, so it can be a bit tricky to determine what needs to be done for this mission. It’s a fairly easy one to tackle once you understand what’s being asked, so here’s how to craft a potion you can really dig in Disney Dreamlight Valley.

A potion you can really dig in DDV is Miracle Shovel Varnish and Even More Miraculous Shovel Varnish. Both of these items can be used to give your Royal Shovel a useful boost that increases your drops from digging while it’s active. Here are the recipes to make each item.

ItemRecipeUses
Miracle Shovel Varnish10 Vitalys Crystals
10 Dry Wood
500 Dreamlight
10 dig spots
Even More Miraculous Shovel Varnish20 Vitalys Crystals
20 Dry Wood
1,000 Dreamlight
25 dig spots

To craft both of these potions, you first need to acquire the three materials needed to make them. These potions are made with Vitalys Crystal, Dry Wood, and Dreamlight, which are three decently tricky items to acquire.

  • Vitalys Crystal can be obtained by mining rock nodes around the Vitalys Mine. This secret area can be found at the end of the river that runs right through the middle of the Sunlit Plateau biome.
  • Dry Wood can be foraged from the ground around trees in the Sunlit Plateau, Forgotten Lands, and Frosted Heights biomes. It can also sometimes be bought from Kristoff’s stall for 25 Star Coins.
  • Dreamlight is primarily obtained by finishing Dreamlight duties. You can also craft it using Dream Shards.

To complete the craft a potion you can really dig task for the Retro Roadtrip Star Path event, you need to craft one Miracle Shovel Varnish or Even More Miraculous Shovel Varnish. Both versions of this potion count for the task, so you can make whichever one you prefer.

This item can be found in the Potion & Enchantment category at any crafting station. It’s both of the yellow potions, so make sure you select the right one since there are many different potions you can create on this page. None of the other available potions apply to digging, so they won’t count for this mission.

Completing this task gets you 25 Tokens to spend in the event. It’s a decent reward, and the most you can get from finishing any regular Star Path task, but you’ll likely need a bit more to purchase most of the prizes. If you do want to claim some more Tokens, consider working on some other missions next, like cooking a fairly fancy appetizerdigging for pottery materialcollecting some shoreline shellfish, and crafting any refinement item.
