How to craft a bow in RuneScape Dragonwilds

Make every hunt a breeze.

Although very few things hit as right as the perfect melee weapon, getting yourself a handy bow is a must in RuneScape: Dragonwilds. After all, being able to get your mark from a distance not only makes hunting a breeze but also allows you to avoid unnecessary risks early on.

In true survival fashion, however, getting the item will demand first completing a couple of tasks. Here’s how to craft a bow in RuneScape: Dragonwilds, as well as how to get your hands on and farm arrows.

How to craft a bow in RuneScape: Dragonwilds

After settling in and building a foundation for yourself in Ashenfall, you will be able to craft your first bow (aka the Ash Shortbow) in RuneScape: Dragonwilds by heading to your crafting table and expending 12 Ash Logs and three Coarse Threads.

While the logs can be acquired by chopping down trees, getting the threads and unlocking the bow’s recipe will require first unlocking the Spinning Wheel. You can craft the wheel by using 12 Ash Logs, four Fax, and two stones. Upon building the work station, you will be able to make Coarse Threads in exchange for three Coarse Animal Fur. As you can see below, the process is fairly quick.

How to craft arrows in RuneScape: Dragonwilds

Now that you have a trusty bow, it’s a must that you also get some arrows for it asap. You can craft Fang and Stone Arrows in RuneScape: Dragonwilds by heading to the crafting table and expending one Ash Log, one Feather, and either one Small Animal Fang or one stone. No matter your type of choice, arrows can only be crafted in sets of 33.

As it is easy to get lost in the moment and let all of your arrows loose when in a pinch, make sure to craft and store at least a few sets before going hunting or exploring in Dragonwilds. Just pay attention to your weight limit, as no amount of ammo is worth being overburdened and forced to leave hard-fought materials behind. I also don’t recommend leaving your melee weapon at home, as you never know what dangers can be hiding in the wilds.
