You can cook the Whimsical Pie dessert using three key ingredients in DDV:
- Dreamlight Fruit – Can be picked from Dreamlight Trees. These special trees are unlocked by progressing your friendship with Simba. The first tree becomes available at level seven friendship with him, but you need to reach level 10 to get the other three.
- Wheat – Can be planted, grown, and harvested using Wheat Seeds. These seeds are available for purchase at Goofy’s Peaceful Meadow Stall for one Star Coin. He also sometimes has already grown Wheat for sale for three Star Coins. If you have the A Rift in Time DLC, Wheat Seeds and Wheat are also available to buy at the Ancient’s Landing Stall.
- Butter – Can be purchased from the pantry at either of the valley’s restaurants, which are Tiana’s Palace and Chez Remy. It costs 190 Star Coins.
Mix these three ingredients together at any cooking station to make a single Whimsical Pie. It’s a three-star dessert, which means it calls for precisely three ingredients to make it.

Cook some Whimsical Pies in Disney Dreamlight Valley
To complete the cook some Whimsical Pies duty for the Haunting Elegance Star Path event, you need to make a total of three Whimsical Pies. This means you’ll need three Dreamlight Fruit, three Wheat, and three Butter to complete this task.
The wording of this duty can be a bit deceiving, as you might take it to mean you can cook any type of pie dish to satisfy the requirements of this task. It’s very specific, though, so only the Whimsical Pie dish counts for it.
Completing this duty gets you 10 Tokens to spend in the special event. It’s not much, but every Token matters if you want to claim all rewards featured in this event. Still, you’ll likely want to stock up on more after checking off this quest, so consider tackling additional duties next, like helping the Pumpkin King, picking up wood materials, mining for square gems, and selling green veggies.
