How to complete the Zero Hour Vault Puzzle in Destiny 2 (Week 2)

This feels pretty symbolic.

With the clock ticking down for our showdown with the Witness, Guardians everywhere are working to buff their arsenal. Fortunately, the Outbreak Perfected pulse rifle is being retooled and Destiny 2 players can craft their own version by completing various tasks, like the Zero Hour Vault Puzzle.

How to claim the Vimana Junker in Destiny 2 (Week 2)

Just a friendly reminder that you’ll need the Outbreak Perfected pulse rifle to complete the first part of the puzzle. Furthermore, I recommend doing this run on Normal as there’s loads of time, and it is doable as a solo experience. Also, don’t worry about having to complete Zero Hour as it’s not required.

The Hangar

The first part of the puzzle takes place in the hangar where the ship is situated. There is a tiny alcove behind the ship where the primary panel is located. Activate it to begin the puzzle.

To solve the puzzle, we need to shoot three panels whose symbols match the first activated panel. Because of the timer, I recommend shooting the first matching panel and then doing a trial-and-error with the other two as there’s no penalty for goofing it up.

The Vault

The second half of this puzzle is in the vault proper, past the fire puzzle. On the left side of the room will be a monitor displaying a map of the vault with clues on solving the puzzle. This week’s puzzle is the Diamond, whose shape corresponds with the panels in the room on the top left column.

The arrows give you the order in which to activate the panels. Black arrows represent the panels inside the room and red arrows are those outside. Completing the puzzle awards The Corruption Spreads III and another Vimana Junk Schematic. The Corruption Spreads III allows you to reshape Outbreak Perfected with a greater selection of magazines.
