How to complete the Attack on Titan quest in Assassin’s Creed Shadows – Beyond the Walls walkthrough

Update 1.1.6 has added plenty of new content in Assassin’s Creed Shadows, and you can complete an Attack on Titan quest to get some unique rewards.

Titled Beyond the Walls, this quest is pretty simple once you know what to do. You’ll first need to activate the quest and complete a few additional steps to finish it. This guide will provide you with all the required details to complete the quest.

How to start the Beyond the Walls quest in Assassin’s Creed Shadows

The first task is to reach north of Hanazono Castle, which is situated in the Yamashiro region. I have marked its location on the screenshot below to help you find the exact spot.

Once you’re there, you’ll find a dead soldier on the ground dressed in Attack on Titan-influenced clothing, along with a letter. Once you retrieve and read the letter, it will start the Beyond the Walls quest.

Unlike other quests, Beyond the Walls didn’t appear on the in-game objective board for me. The only option is to reach the correct location and retrieve the letter.

The complete quest can be broken down into the following parts.

• Investigate the castle ruins
• Help the captive

Investigate the castle ruins

To complete the task, head south towards Hanazono Castle. Once there, you’ll hear a few enemies speaking about the captive. Your next task is to help rescue Ada (the captive).

Help the captive

Once you reach the castle, go inside and kill the enemies. This will update the quest marker and highlight the spot where Ada is being kept. Once you reach her, help Ada to finish the rescue. Ada, upon being rescued, will reveal a plan to save Gautwin. Choose any of the prompts shown on the screen before selecting “I’m ready to follow Ada.”

This automatically completes the Beyond the Walls quest in Assassin’s Creed Shadows.
