Weekly missions in Fortnite often ask you to engage with gameplay aspects you may not be super familiar with. One such quest tasks you with completing Job Boards, a feature you potentially haven’t used at all this season.
Job Boards have been around for the full season, but they’re quite easy to overlook, so there’s a solid chance you may be unsure how to go about finding one and tackling the missions they give you. If this is the case, here’s how to complete Job Boards in Fortnite.

What are Job Boards in Fortnite?

Job Boards are special interactive points that offer one of two types of quests in Chapter Seven, season one. In past seasons, they’ve offered more missions and functioned a bit differently, so the way they work in this one may take some getting used to.
Every Job Board you find will offer either a Supply Drop quest or a Plunder quest. There’s no way to choose what’s available at each one, so if you don’t like the mission you see, you’ll have to seek out a different board around the map. The specifics for each type of quest are unique.
- Supply Drop Job Boards – Can be interacted with to spawn in a Supply Drop nearby. It’s a falling box attached to a parachute that will land some distance away. As soon as you activate this job, the location of the falling box will be marked, allowing you to make your way over to it as it descends. Open the Supply Drop to finish the Job Board.
- Plunder Job Boards – Can be activated to spawn two treasure chests you need to find. The first one is marked with a yellow circle outlining the general area on your map. Venture to the designated region, then look for a hole with white sparkles. Strike at it with your Pickaxe to reveal the treasure chest. Then, a second circle will appear on your map at a new location. Repeat the same process to open a second chest and finish the Plunder Job Board.
Both types of Job Board tasks have a timer tied to them, so as soon as you accept either mission, you only have a limited timeframe to tackle them. If any other players swoop in and open the Supply Drop or treasure chests, you’ll fail this quest, too, so there are a couple of potential factors working against you.
What do Job Boards give you in Fortnite?

You get a bunch of gold bars for successfully finishing any Job Board quest in Fortnite. There are no other prizes for finishing one of these missions, so if you aren’t interested in gold bars, they’re not really worth doing.
How to find Job Boards in Fortnite
Job Boards spawn randomly all across the island in each round, so there’s no way to know exactly where they’ll appear. You can, however, keep an eye on your mini map as you traverse around, as they’re always marked by a special icon.
The icon you’re looking for is a tiny magnifying glass on top of what looks like a stack of paper. Whenever a Job Board is within the vicinity of your mini map, it’ll be marked on it, allowing you to swiftly make your way to one. They can spawn anywhere on the island, but seem to generally be more common close to and around main POIs, so check around named spots to have the best shot at finding them.

Complete Job Boards in Fortnite
For the complete Job Boards weekly quest, you need to successfully finish a total of three Job Board missions. This means you can mix and match between the two types of Job Boards you can find around the island, but you have to fully see the quest through to get it done.
For Supply Drop missions, you need to seek out and open the Supply Drop within the designated timeframe. For Plunder quests, finding and opening two hidden treasure chests before the time runs out is crucial. Both can be a bit tricky to work through, especially the first time around, but you’ll quickly get the hang of it as you navigate through this experience.
If you’re up for some additional missions, there are loads of other quests worth tackling next. Some good ones to check off are entering Dumpsters or Flushers in different matches, finding Human Bill, touching a Zero Point Shard to investigate its mysterious effects, and finding Bigfoot.
