How to complete For Our Princess! quest in Tears of the Kingdom

They’re hiding out under there

Armor and clothing is an important factor inĀ The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. But it can also be a false foundation. Sometimes, as the For Our Princess! side adventure teaches, you need to be able to save the world in your skivvies.

This side adventure is part of the Lucky Clover Gazette quest line inĀ Tears of the Kingdom. It sees Link and reporter pal Penn travelling from stable to stable, solving local problems while following leads on the whereabouts of Princess Zelda.

The side adventure For Our Princess will see you head to the Foothill Stable, sitting on the border between Goron and Zora domains. You’ll find Penn thinking about the curiously copious number of dudes in their underwear at the stable nearby.

The local researchers believe that Princess Zelda told them to strip down for their scholarly efforts, and have begun doing their work in their underpants. This doesn’t bode well for a group that went into a nearby monster cave, where nothing will stand between the monsters’ clubs and the researchers’ brittle bones.

Head up the path towards Death Mountain, past the sign and springs, and you’ll eventually see a monster cave entrance. It will be obvious, thanks to the skulls, decorations, and two guys shivering in their underpants at the mouth of the cave. Here’s a ping of the exact location:

The scholars need to collect data from the cave, but do not have the wherewithal to do so without clothing. So Link, master of fighting in adverse situations, can strip down and show them how it’s down.

A stealthy approach is highly recommended here. There are plenty of weapons and items you can pick up, but not much in the way of healing. Around the cave, you can find some decayed weapons, and as you take out enemies, you’ll want to quickly fuse horns on for extra damage.

The tall Moblin and armored Bokoblin are two high-danger targets in here. The armored Bokoblin will need to be hit by a hammer weapon of some kind, so be ready to fuse a rock to something for an armor-breaker. The Moblin, meanwhile, will chuck his little pals at you, and has both reach and power.

My recommendation is to take out the little Bokoblins first, especially the one that has the bow. That, plus the nearby arrows, will be a huge help in whittling down the Moblin. Otherwise, keep moving and remember that Flurry Rush is helpful for dealing a lot of damage, if you can time it well.

Once the cave is clear, the scaredy-cats will celebrate and invite you back to the stable, where the Underwear Club will make shocking discovery: they all misheard Zelda’s instructions.

Though there’s little reason left for them to live so freely, at least it added a little variety to their research routine. Penn will make something out of this all, I imagine. Either way, you’ll get some rupees, as well as any prizes you may have accumulated from the number of Lucky Clover Gazette quests finished thus far.

After you’re done cavorting around in your Hylian Hanes, head on back to the Gazette and Traysi can set you off towards a new lead with Penn. Just make sure to put some pants on, the Hebra region gets cold.
