How to start the Cog in the Wheel quest in Arknights Endfield
You begin the Cog in the Wheel quest after speaking with Director Qin during the Base Revisited quest. She’ll declare that she has more work than she can manage and then ask for your help. Then, head to the factory to speak with the workers to continue along the quest.

Once you reach the Old Factory, the workers will speak and ask you to shut down the unstable Originum Refining Unit. Use the quest marker to find two workers who are lying on the ground. Move to the disaster area after checking up on them. Approach Lykor, and this will start a mini cutscene.
Next, you’ll have to interact with the refining unit to open the Power Nexus interface. To shut it down, you need to solve a puzzle.
- You have two components to place on the main grid.
- Rotate the first component once, and place it on the left grid.
- Rotate the second component twice, and place it on the empty grid on top.
Once the unit has been shut down, speak with Lykor and Laeya to complete the Cog in the Wheel quest. You’ll automatically receive all the rewards in your inventory.
