How to commit crimes in inZOI

Getting a job and leading life as an upstanding citizen is all well and good, but it can be a bit boring, can’t it? Totally. So here’s how to commit crimes in inZOI instead.

How to Be a Criminal in inZOI

If you’re just starting out in inZOI, the game actually gives you a bit of guidance on how to cause social unrest and be a menace to society. Click on your Zoi Card in the bottom left corner of the screen or press the O key to bring it up, then click on Ambitions.

From here, scroll all the way down to the Social Disorder category and set this as your new Ambition. Your Zoi will now be fulfilled by committing crimes and just being a generally unpleasant person to other Zois. There are two main categories for Social Disorder, and I’ll go over how to complete the objectives for both of them in more detail below.

Notorious Villain

The objectives for Notorious Villain are as follows:

The first level is pretty easy. All you need to do is go out into a public place, click on your Zoi, and choose the Personal Actions category. From here, you can choose to secretly drop something on the floor.

Vending machines can also be found all over the open world, so just interact with any of them and choose the Vent Frustration option.

The second level of tasks requires you to interact with another Zoi. To complete these objectives, greet a Zoi, then choose the Conflict option from the interactions menu. From here, you can choose to knock them down or start a fight. You’ll also find the investment scam option from this menu, allowing you to clear the level 2 tasks and the first level 3 task in one fell swoop.

Eventually, the police will come after you and throw you in jail. Your Zoi will be released from prison after a set amount of time, so you can repeat the process until you’ve completed all objectives and earned the Notorious Villain title.

Famous Hacker

The second category for Social Disorder is called Famous Hacker, and here are the tasks:

If you’ve always wanted to live out your dreams of being a hacker extraordinaire, this category is for you. You can do these tasks from your own home, but it’s a lot more time-consuming because of how long it takes to level up the Programming skill.

Interact with any computer and choose the Programming option, and this will allow your Zoi to increase their Programming skill over time. As you reach levels 3, 6, and 10, you’ll then unlock the option to pull off scams and hacks from the computer as well.

Should You Choose Notorious Villain or Famous Hacker?

It’s worth pointing out that you’re not locked into one Ambition over another in inZOI. You can pursue them both eventually, but if you’re wondering which one you should start with, I’d definitely recommend going for Famous Hacker.

Leveling up Programming is very useful as it allows you to make money on the side, and the crimes associated with Famous Hacker are also far more lucrative.

Of course, if you’re just here for the character drama and you don’t mind making less money in favor of just being a complete menace in the streets, then go for Notorious Villain instead.

How to Get Out of Jail

Committing crimes means getting unwanted attention from the police, which means getting thrown into jail. While in jail, you can only sleep, eat, and go to the bathroom. There’s not much else to do aside from that.

At 7 am, you’ll be informed that your Zoi will be released from prison at 9 am that day. When 9 am comes around, simply click on your Zoi and choose to leave the prison. You can remain for as long as you’d like, but you don’t get anything out of staying in jail.
