How do I charge crystals in The Sims 4?

Gemstones and jewelry can be placed on the Mystical Moonlight Crystal Grid to charge your crystals. It must be used outdoors between 7 PM to 7 AM. Crystals need the moon to charge, so putting it inside won’t do much good. The gem will be ready to pick up whenever it brightly glows:

You don’t always have to keep your crystal grid outside, though, since you can drag it anywhere during Live mode. Initially, these materials must be cut into gemstones or made into jewelry using a workstation. Then, drag it over to the grid during the correct time period.

The moon phases can either increase or decrease charging speed. In particular, the full moon is the absolute best time for the procedure, while the new moon won’t do much. I suggest moving to places like Sylvan Glade and Forgotten Grotto, as they permit crystal charges all day.

Recharges must also be done over time as the crystal slowly loses power. Fortunately, you can rely on your Sim to tell you when this needs to be done and drag it back over the grid. Afterward, charged gemstones and jewelry can be placed in a character’s inventory or worn as an accessory. Plus, you can gift these items to another Sim to give them a new buff.

When hovering over the crystal, a progress report will be shown for more information. Just speed up time by pressing Sims 4’s Ultra Speed if the charging takes too long.
