How to become a Firefighter in BitLife

Let's save some lives.

You can pursue nearly any job in BitLife if you possess the necessary qualifications and drive. Firefighting is one of many options you have, and although there are no cool minigames for dousing fires, it’s still satisfying to know you’re helping others in between age-ups.

How to become a Firefighter in BitLife

Becoming a Firefighter in BitLife requires graduating from secondary school and aging up until your character turns 18. From here, you’ll unlock full-time jobs, where there’s a chance you’ll find a Probationary Firefighter position available.

The downside? The job list is mostly random. Although getting a degree or working other jobs filters the results slightly, someone fresh out of high school will have a completely random list. A firefighter position may not be available initially, requiring you to close and reopen the BitLife app or age up and recheck the list.

Several factors can also impact your chances of becoming a firefighter. If your character has a criminal record, they won’t be able to apply for the job unless they emigrate to another country. If your only goal is to become a firefighter, don’t commit any crimes within BitLife until after you secure the job.

Your character can also fail the follow-up interview they receive after applying. Although this is mostly luck-based, your safest bet is to go for professional answers and hope the interviewer is satisfied with your response. Otherwise, you’ll have to search for another position and repeat the process until your character officially becomes a firefighter.

What does a Firefighter do in BitLife?

Like most jobs in BitLife, the firefighter position lacks unique features or minigames. It’s mainly a means to generate an annual salary for your character, letting you purchase houses, cars, and various services to make your character’s life more interesting.

That is, unless you’re trying to complete BitLife’s weekly challenges. Each week, new challenges appear with various objectives, with ones like the Anti-Hero, Master of the Elements, and Macho Man asking you to create characters who become firefighters. These events are only available for five days before being locked behind a Challenge Vault that requires a one-time purchase to unlock.

Alternatively, you can become a firefighter to earn a lot of money. Although probationary firefighters don’t tend to make much at first, you can receive promotions to Lieutenant, Battalion Chief, or Fire Chief to turn this into a high-paying career. While it isn’t the highest-paying job BitLife offers, your character can still be very comfortable after a few years of hard work.
