How to beat Quest 3 Decompressing in Persona 5 Tactica

Big booms and buckshot.

Everyone in the Phantom Thieves operates a bit differently. Quest 3 of Persona 5 Tactica, a.k.a. Decompressing, reminds you just how much area damage Haru and Ryuji bring to the table.

You can pick this Quest up after freeing Haru and Ryuji from Marie’s control in her Kingdom. In it, the pair decide to blow off some steam by blowing some things up; and by things, I mean some of Marie’s forces. You’ll be required to bring both Haru and Ryuji on this venture, but don’t worryā€”they’re more than well-suited for the task ahead.

To complete Quest 3 in Persona 5 Tactica, you’ll need to clear out all enemies in three or fewer turns. It’s not just the enemies in front of you, though, as more waves will spawn after you clear them.

Think in boxes

When the action kicks off, note how your additional party memberā€”I chose to bring Jokerā€”is segmented off in a box. You’ll want to have someone in that box with good magic abilities, preferably an AoE one like Maeiha, as they can set up One Mores for Ryuji and Haru.

If your damage is solid enough already, you might even be able to do full wipes of spawns, given the chance.

It’s all about AoE

Both Haru and Ryuji pack potent area-of-effect damage potential. Haru’s main weapon is a grenade launcher, and Ryuji has a shotgun. This means you can easily set up successive shots and big damage if you angle your shots right.

Also, remember that Triple Threat is an option. It’s a little hard to set up, due to your center member being confined to the boxed area, but I was able to set up at least one Triple Threat while finishing out the fight.

Just keep blasting and taking advantage of your area attacks, and this should be over in no time.

Quest 3 rewards in Persona 5 Tactica

For completing Quest 3 in Persona 5 Tactica, both Ryuji and Haru will gain 20 GP. This is a nice little boost for the duo, and some good encouragement to work them into your regular roster after you’ve brought them back over to the Phantom Thieves. Nothing clears out Marie’s forces quite like a hail of explosions and buckshot.
