Hot new Pokemon Black/White details!

Pokémon Black/White was recently announced, and it looks pretty damn exciting. Some new details for the next generation of Nintendo’s beloved monster battling series have hit the Internet today, essentially confirming that this will be a complete overhaul for the franchise.

As we know, the game is getting 3D graphics, but be warned that it’s not a 3DS game, specifically. We’re simply talking polygons. The battles themselves will be more “intense” as well, presumably boasting more animations and special effects.

The various towns and cities will be more “realistic”, not to mention convenient. The Pokémon Center and Pokémart have been combined into a one-stop shop, so you can buy items and heal your party all under one roof, which is a welcome change. There is also a new form of monster evolution, called “Evolution 3”, but details are sketchy and nobody’s quite sure what it means yet.

All this is in addition to the new monsters. So far, only Zorua and Zoroark have been revealed. They look pretty cool. Hopefully the new monsters will have some solid designs, as I thought the creatures were really jumping the shark after Gold and Silver. Also, if we can eliminate the IV/EV nonsense, or at least make those stats visible this time around, I will be very happy.
