Hospital builds commemorative game room for 13-year-old patient

Evan Patrick Bell, a 13-year-old, was one of us: a gamer. This teen recently died of a brain tumor, though.

To honor him, the Wolfson Children’s Hospital has raised funds to build a hospital game room named after Bell. The Jacksonville News says that supporters have already raised over $50,000 for the cause. The community came together for this cause: art events, Girl Scout events, and fundraisers all worked to raise the money by Tuesday, Evan’s 14th birthday. Construction should begin this summer.

We’re with Destructoid Community Blogger RiotMonster: reading things like this really warms the heart. With that kind of cash they should be able to build a pretty slick game room.
